That’s exactly what I have found. Google ads has provided me with a much better CTR because people are actively searching for a “web designer in plymouth”. No ones really going to look for a web designer on Facebook, they’re going to go straight to Google. Facebook excels at catching people unawares and for a couple of clients I have dealt with Facebook ads have been very successful.

Hey Paul. Facebook has a pretty poor CTR for its ads, I think it falls short when compared to services like Google because people aren’t primarily using Facebook as a platform to find products and services they are interested in but rather to waste a bit of time, play games and catch up with friends. A relevant ad returned with a Google search is far more likely to reach someone who is already in “buy mode” and generate a click through and, more importantly, a conversion.

Looks great, the only thing I would say the design is missing would be a header that tells you which section you are currently viewing… I was clicking through the links but had no real indication that the page I was viewing had changed as on my monitor (1366 x 788) all the content for each page appears below the fold.

Nice work there Paul, your portfolio is starting to look really diverse and i really like the latest 3 designs you’ve come up with. They really stand out when compared to the other sites you have worked on, great to see that kind of development in your portfolio. Keep it up!
