Tamerton Wrought Iron Works
Project Overview
Tamerton Wrought Iron Works is a Plymouth based company founded in 1966 producing a range of products from gates and railings, balustrading, balconies, staircases, security grilles and structural steel.
Although the company had been online for some years their web site was a very basic static one page site with very out of date content. I was hired to design a brand new dynamic web site that would showcase the skill and craftsmanship of the Tamerton Wrought Iron product.
I designed the new site from scratch using a number of techniques including; photographs from previous work projects, a simple menu structure, a short Flash animation on the home page as well as a minimalistic look throughout. The aim was to draw customers attention to the photos and the Tamerton craftsmanship as opposed to the actual web design.
